Sitting With Shyla

shyla: Hello and welcome to Sitting with Shyla. Featured guest is the lovely krishna. So, krishna, can you tell us your a/s/l? (age, sex, location)

Krishna: Hello, I'm a 22 young lady (23 by the end of the year). I'm currently living in Essex, England (for the next 8 months) but usually living in Marseilles, France.

shyla: Nice! So you're fluent in French? Do you speak any other languages?

Krishna: I'm french, so I'm kinda fluent in my native language...well kinda ^^ I do speak English (obviously), I also speak spanish and I do understand italian (but my speaking is...so-so).
My friends are learning german, so they teach me some words/sentences.
Well I almost forget I studied Hindi for a whole semester (and loved it so I keep practising) and everyday I learn a bit of Chinese.
I think that's it !!

shyla: That's awesome! So tell me, how did you learn about 4thkingdom?

krishna: Actually, I learn about 4thkingdom through 4degreez.
One day I was on Google, searching for some quotes and I found myself on 4degreez.com
I spend some time on the site and decide to become a 4degreez member. But I think it was too late at the time to become member(or I didn't click on the right button ?!!) and I was redirected to the “new site”: 4thkingdom !
I'm still not too sure about what happened to me this day but no regrets, for sure !

shyla: Well, that's rather interesting and definitely a first as far as I've heard. How do you like 4thkingdom and on which boards do you find yourself most active? Please be candid.

Krishna: I find 4thkingdom quite addicting :-p and log several time a day, even during work at school (hopefully the site isn't on the list of the “restricted websites” according to the school's policy)!!
I more a “reader” than a “poster” (guess it comes from my French side...not willing to work ^^).
But I do post on the 4k Boards (Items&Lotto or Comments/updates) or Travel Board and read a bit of every boards (Sex remaining one of my favourite “reading”). I'm a big fan of the 4k poetry (already loved this part of 4degreez) and sometimes thinking of posting some -french- poetry, but not too sure about it !

shyla: Can I ask why you're more of a reader than a poster and what incentive do you think 4k can give you to become a more active poster?

Krishna: Well I don't post often because of several reasons. The most logical one is that in some boards I don't really feel concerned by what is discussed (for instance I do like sports but I don't really care about most of the US sports discussed). Then I think it's also a question of confidence, sometimes it takes me time to find my words (in English) and when I find the words they don't exactly express what I want to say ! But since I work in England I became more confident about my speaking/writing and I guess you'll see more of me from now on. More of Krishna especially that now I have plenty of free time, so more time to spend on the Kingdom.
I never thought about incentives before...I'll start a new thread if anything come to my mind !!

shyla: Great reply. And you know what might be good? You could use your post signature to explain about your confidence level on finding the right words/phrase to express yourself. That's assuming you know what the post signature is. =) Can I ask, is there any meaning behind your member name?

Krishna: It comes from Hinduism (I always has been fascinated by religion) and there are several “opinions” concerning who is Krishna. Krishna is essentially known to be an avatar of Vishnu. But Krishna is also considered as the Supreme Person and the source of everything. My member name is also my nickname in real life (my friends call me Krishna or Miss K), at first -about 10 years ago- it was a kind of joke I was the only one to understand (I'm the source of everything, no doubt) and it stayed !!

shyla: Lovely, I hope to see you in religious debates! So, let's get personal. Do you have a significant other...children?

Krishna: I'm single (& looking ^^) since I moved to England, one month ago. And I don't have kids (& don't want any o_O)

shyla: What are some of your hobbies? If you could do whatever you wanted for an entire day, what activities would be included?

krishna: I love music, I could stay awake for hours just listening some music or trying to find some new songs none of my friends have ever heard of. I'm a big reader too, mangas mostly.
My favourite things to do is going to a football (what some people call soccer) game. When I was still living in France I was going to every match at home and almost every match away (ready to spend hours in a bus to support my team for 90 minutes).
I got another hobbies, an expensive one: travelling ! I just love travelling, in France or in the rest of the world (already been to Spain, Canada, New York, Switzerland, Ireland, England and in almost every region of France).
If I could do what I want for an entire day, I would bring with me my best friend and we would take a flight to eat a breakfast near Connolly Station in Dublin. I would make him discover the city then we'll go to London to eat @ GBK and buy some comics. Then we'll return in France, staying up late talking about anything and planning our next trip !!
Welcome to my world !

shyla: Sounds like a fun world. ;-) Are you in a full fledged career, just working, or a student (if so, what are you studying?)?

Krishna: a funky world indeed! After 4 years at the university I graduated with an English degree last June. Since October 1st I'm a French Language Assistant in a High School of Essex (working 12h/week); I have to learn English pupils how to speak French...quite funny !! And I'm taking lessons for the Cambridge certificate of Proficiency in English (don't really know why, but since my school is paying for it...I take it !!)

shyla: What is your worst fear?

krishna: I'd like to think that I have no fear, the "Have no fear, just limits" thing !
I believe in destiny and that everything happening, happen for a reason. So I'm not afraid of death or things like that.
However I do (well, my eyes) suffer from photophobia (fear of light) and I do have vertigo. But that's things I can't fight !
Thinking of it, I may have one real fear: amnesia, not being able to remember who I am and that the Kingdom exists !

shyla: Well, I'd just like to say thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me. Is there anything else you'd like to share with us before we part?

Krishna: Well, Thanks for the interview, I feel like the star of the Kingdom (well until the next interview^^).
I'd like to thanks my parents, without whom... and thanks HP who made my computer and the wifi guy who installed the wifi in my house ^^ and... LONG LIVE THE KINGDOM XD

btw:if you have color cube, eye creature or leaky bad egg...don't forget Krishna ^^

Remember guys, you heard it first here, sitting with shyla. Let's welcome krishna into our community with a question of your own or a simple, hihowareyou!
