Ink Blot
Birdwatching with Temujin

So, our foray into the tits continues this edition, you lucky people.

A touch smaller in size to the blue tit is the coal tit, so-called because of its darker colourings.

Now, pay attention to this bit: the coal tit's head has a white triangle on it, flanked by black bits. Its body is pale yellow. These are the two distinguishing features that contrast with next edition's bird.

Coal Tit

Tits!

They're present throughout the year in the British Isles, residing in woodland, parks and gardens.

They eat insects, nuts and seeds.

Next edition will see the final tit in this series.
